Project Description

Project Overview

Waste to Energy technology enables the production of energy from low cost, non-food grade waste material.  ADP Holdings’ project management partner, Vieste Energy, LLC, launched a Waste to Energy project for the City of Glendale, AZ in February, 2014.  This project includes the receipt, sorting, and recycling of up to 180,000 tons of municipal solid waste per year. Of that, up to 350 tons of gas will be produced each day, which will be used to generate 15 megawatts of electricity. Once the project goes completely online, the plant will be able to recover an impressive 26,000 tons of recyclable items per year. Currently, Glendale recycles just 12.99 tons of trash a year.  Once the project is complete, Vieste said the plant will be able to go through 800 tons of trash daily, generating up to 54 megawatts of electricity.
